International Visit to Germany (Frankfurt & Hamburg)

Leaders of London’s fastest growing innovative FinTech and Cyber companies head to Frankfurt, and Creative B2B Technology companies head to Hamburg in October for an international trade mission with the Mayor's International Business Programme.

Led by Alban Remy, Tech & Life Sciences Specialist at London & Partners, some of our most innovative FinTech, Cyber and Creative B2B Tech companies from the Mayor of London’s International Business Programme will be travelling to Germany to identify partnerships and explore business opportunities.
Frankfurt is already well known as a major financial place in Europe, but also a great innovation hub in Germany.

Frankfurt am Main is the only place in the world where two central banks (European Central Bank (ECB) and Bundesbank) are located. Hamburg on the other hand has a strong business history, with companies such as Beiersdorf AG, Airbus or OTTO all based along the banks of the Elbe. The German Creative and Media industry also has its stronghold in Hamburg and companies like Axel Springer, the Bauer Media Group, Gruner + Jahr or the SPIEGEL group all represent some amazing partners for our creative companies from London.

London is a dynamic and diverse city with a thriving business, financial services and tech community. The city has been deemed the number one global financial centre (GFCI) and is Europe’s most valuable tech ecosystem, at $44bn. Links with German cities are already well established and we need to make sure people, businesses and ideas keep travelling from one side to the other.

Our relationships with our European neighbours and partners are more important than ever and we look forward to meeting with key corporates and leaders locally to collaborate further and explore the opportunities across our great cities, and to show that London is open for business #LondonIsOpen
