International Visit to Japan

Six of London’s fastest-growing, innovative tech companies will be travelling to Japan to identify partnerships and explore business opportunities.

Led by Alban Remy, Trade Manager of the Mayor’s International Business Programme at London & Partners, companies will be travelling to Los Angeles to identify partnerships and explore business opportunities.

Delighted that some of our fastest growing, innovative and creative companies from the Mayor of London’s International Business Programme will be travelling to Japan to identify partnerships and explore business opportunities.

London remains one of the world’s leading tech hubs with the largest tech ecosystem in Europe. London was recognised as the ‘Unicorn Capital of Europe’, with a thriving ecosystem supporting 17 companies to surpass the $1bn valuation mark since 2010.

Japan has one of the most advanced IT and Communications markets in the world, with a strong venture capital interest in its start-up ecosystem. With the tendency to embrace new technology in their daily life, Japan is fast becoming home for many tech giants and partnerships. Tokyo was recently at the top of the World’s Most innovative cities list, ahead of London and New York, with its investment in robotics, 3D manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence.

London is the third largest source city of FDI into Tokyo, and we hope to continue these relationships and new partnerships.

We look forward to meeting with key corporates and leaders locally to collaborate further, to explore the opportunities across our great cities, and to show that London is open for business #LondonIsOpen..
