International Visit to Lille
This Mission assisted high-growth digital companies seeking to identify partnerships and to explore business opportunities. The Mayor's International Business Programme organised meetings and networking events with key local corporates, leaders and organisations matching the needs and requirements of the MIBP delegates to expand their business activities in this area.
Led by Rajesh Agrawal, the Deputy Mayor for Business and Chairman of London & Partners, the companies travel to Lille, as they looked to secure extra investment and explore opportunities to expand and export to the European Market.
London and Lille share strong trade links, both being the heart of Europe’s leading consumer market. A pioneer in mail order, retail and e-commerce, Northern France offers a winning mix of dynamic SMEs, young start-ups, multinational corporations, and thriving business incubators and accelerators. The high growth potential has earned Lille the nation’s “French Tech” label.
London is a dynamic and diverse city with a thriving business, financial services and tech community. The city has been deemed the number one global financial centre (GFCI) and is Europe’s most valuable tech ecosystem, at $44bn.
Both cities have strong technology ecosystems, as showcased by the innovative Business-to-Business (B2B) technology companies attending this mission.
